Father Taylor Tracy began his ministry while studying at Wichita State University, where he served as choirmaster at St. Paul’s University Parish before being appointed Director of Sacred Liturgy. During this time, he contributed to the diocesan Sacred Worship Committee while continuing his philosophical and theological studies at Newman University in addition to his training at the Liturgical Institute at the University of Saint Mary of the Lake.
Following eight years of comprehensive formation, Father Tracy was ordained to the priesthood in February 2021. He was immediately entrusted with the pastoral leadership of the newly established Christ the King parish community in downtown Kansas City, where he guided the development of a growing and mission-driven parish during its formative years. In addition to his parochial responsibilities, Father Tracy completed both a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) internship and residency at the University of Kansas Hospital. This intensive clinical formation further grounded his priesthood in the care of the sick, the dying, and their families, integrating sacramental ministry with disciplined pastoral practice in high-acuity medical settings.
Father Tracy maintains an active ministry as a spiritual director and clinical pastoral counselor, accompanying individuals and families through seasons of discernment, suffering, and growth. His work reflects a commitment to pastoral care that is both theologically rooted and professionally informed. He is the founder and Superior General of the Cor Jesu Society, where he is dedicated to the ongoing formation, support, and renewal of priests for effective and sustainable ministry in today’s Church.. Through the Cor Jesu Society, he seeks to form priests who are spiritually grounded, pastorally present, and capable of sustaining a lifelong fidelity to the heart of Christ.
