WELCOME HOME, GOOD SHEPHERD! | 110 E 43rd Street, Kansas City, MO 64111 will be the new home of Good Shepherd Catholic Community. Renovation work has already been scheduled by the building owner, and we expect to be in the building by July 1. See below for more information and next steps.

COUNTDOWN TO LAUNCH: WHY THIS MOVE MATTERS | Each week brings us closer to Sunday, July 5, when our parish community will officially begin worshiping in our new location. This move is not simply about a building. It is about creating a visible, welcoming, and sacred space where people can encounter Christ, experience belonging, and discover that there is room for them in the heart of the Church.

As we prepare for this new chapter, we invite every parishioner to pray, participate, and help us extend the welcome of Christ beyond our walls. The doors may be new, but the mission remains the same: to proclaim the Gospel with joy, to serve with compassion, and to become a community where all God’s people can find a spiritual home.

FR. JIM'S 50TH ANNIVERSARY | Fr. Jim Farris is celebrating his 50th anniversary to the priesthood this year! Let's celebrate the work the Lord has done through him and thank him for saying yes to the call. A taco lunch will be provided on Sunday, May 17, following the 11:00 Mass. Bishop Pablo Burson will also be present and be our homilist for the day.

BAPTISM ON MAY 24 | Join us on Sunday, May 24, as we welcome twins Kallum and Tavery into the Church!

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL | Save the date for VBS 2026! VBS will be held July 27 thru 29 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. this will be a joint endeavor with our friends at Gloria Dei.

MIDWEEK MASS | Our Midweek Mass has been paused until our move is complete. Mass will continue at Gloria Dei on Sundays at 11:00.

NEW MASS TIMES BEGINNING SUNDAY, JULY 5 | Effective Sunday, July 5, we will offer two Mass opportunities on Sunday mornings. A meditative 30-minute Mass at 9:00 and our traditional Mass with music at 10:30.
